Why

Y??

Y can't I just shout
Y can't I cry out loud
Y are we so scared
Y is everyone so mad
Y should roses be red
Y shouldn't I say what I just said
Y??
Y is there no pride
Y should u hide
Y can't there be light
Y should You wear a disguise
Y can't I have my own life
Y??
Y does everyone use " I "
Y can't we say we
Y can't I be me??
Y??
Do I have to say this out loud
Or do I have to just shut up my mouth
Who are you to say
Y can't I choose my own way??

It is simply a questions that rotates in a person's head when they are in bondage. Here bondage is something that limits the freedom, it doesn't always mean being a slave. It is just that the person isn't getting the freedom he/she desires so much. It restricts the creativeness of a person. Generally speaking - everyone is born different, why should anyone or anything force a person to choose what they don't want to. For example, you don't want to be a doctor but instead a photographer but since everyone in your family is either into business or is a surgeon or a doctor or whatever, they will force you to take a path which their family has taken, but you as a person is struggling to prove to them that you want to be a photographer and you get satisfaction and joy by it. If you pursue what you desire, your family will look down on you or insult you in any situation or might even break ties with you. If you pursue what they want, you will curse them in your heart and give a fake smile everyday, you will feel as if you are living someone else's life. Disappoint your family and pursue what you want to or please them and do what they want you to do and sacrifice your own dreams, in both case you are the one suffering, and in such situation you might as well feel the poem written above describes the questions in your head.
This is just an example, different people face different situations in their life's, and this poem is just a description of how a person feels when they are not completely free.
